Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps / Cloud DevOps Engineer to build, operate, automate, and continuously improve cloud platform services and deployment environments. The role will focus on Azure infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, monitoring, release management, security, and platform reliability.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services, combined with a strong ownership and resilience mindset. They will work closely with development, application support, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, secure, and repeatable deployment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, configure, and operate Azure cloud platform services and application environments.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision and manage cloud environments consistently and reliably.
Automate deployment, configuration, operational, and infrastructure management activities using scripts and DevOps tooling.
Manage and support Azure DevOps Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, and Artifacts.
Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.
Build and maintain deployment environments across development, test, staging, and production.
Support AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) workloads and containerized application deployments.
Manage and troubleshoot Azure App Service environments.
Configure and support Azure Front Door, WAF, CDN, networking, and secure application access.
Implement and maintain VNets, subnets, Private Endpoints, and related Azure networking components.
Manage secrets, certificates, and sensitive configuration using Azure Key Vault.
Implement configuration management using Azure App Configuration, including feature flags where applicable.
Develop and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using:
Azure Monitor
Application Insights
Log Analytics
Azure platform and application logs
Establish and maintain appropriate dashboards, alerts, metrics, and logging to support platform reliability and operational readiness.
Support Vercel deployments and integration with Azure-based services where required.
Support release automation and deployment orchestration across multiple environments.
Participate in release planning, deployment coordination, validation, rollback, and post-release activities.
Troubleshoot deployment failures, infrastructure issues, connectivity problems, performance issues, and application/platform reliability concerns.
Implement security automation and DevSecOps practices within CI/CD and infrastructure workflows.
Ensure infrastructure and deployment changes follow disciplined change management and governance processes.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment efficiency, reliability, security, and operational processes.
Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, deployment procedures, and operational standards.
Collaborate with development, QA, security, architecture, infrastructure, and application support teams.
Participate in incident resolution and provide technical support during critical production issues.

Experience implementing repeatable and automated environment deployments.

Monitoring & Observability

Experience designing and maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions.
Strong understanding of application and infrastructure observability.
Experience troubleshooting using Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
Ability to analyze logs, metrics, traces, and alerts to identify root causes.

DevOps & Operational Responsibilities

Build and operate reliable deployment environments.
Automate application and infrastructure deployments.
Support release management and production deployments.
Ensure environments are operationally ready before releases.
Implement deployment validation and rollback mechanisms.
Improve deployment reliability and reduce manual intervention.
Support platform availability, scalability, performance, and resilience.
Apply appropriate security controls throughout infrastructure and deployment processes.
Maintain disciplined change, release, and configuration management practices.

Required Experience & Competencies

6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and deployment architecture.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting production environments and business-critical deployments.
Ability to take ownership of technical issues and drive them through to resolution.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across development, infrastructure, security, QA, and support teams.
Strong understanding of change management, release management, and operational readiness.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to production incidents.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
