VAS/Cloud Senior Service Engineer
Overview
We are looking for an experienced VAS/Cloud Senior Service Engineer to support telecom managed services operations within a complex cloud and virtualised network environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cloud infrastructure operations, service performance, optimisation, troubleshooting and operational support across VAS and cloud platforms.
This is a senior technical role requiring strong Ericsson cloud platform experience alongside Linux, Kubernetes and telecom operations expertise.
Responsibilities
- Manage cloud infrastructure and NFVi environments
- Monitor service and network quality, performance and capacity
- Analyse performance trends and identify chronic failures
- Support optimisation and service improvement initiatives
- Perform troubleshooting and fault resolution activities
- Support hardware-related operational activities
- Drive automation and tooling improvements
- Conduct system acceptance testing and raise technical issues
- Act as technical lead and escalation point for the team
- Liaise with planning, engineering and customer support teams
Required Skills
- Strong Ericsson Cloud Solutions experience including:
- NFVi
- CNIS
- CEE
- CCD
- SDI
- SDN
- Ericsson Orchestrator
- Strong Linux systems administration experience
- Experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Grafana, shell scripting and automation tools
- Telecom/VAS operational experience
- Good understanding of IP networking
- Experience within telecom managed services operations
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- WRMS experience
- Arabic language skills
- SMS/Bulk Messaging/VAS platform experience
- Datacom network experience
