Position Objective:
The Core Project Manager will provide full support to the Program Manager in delivering consultancy services, quality control and quantity of work performed and ensure high quality deliverable(s). Also, will be responsible for the end-to-end project implementation for cloud platforms & elements, the task fulfilment and the Consultant's activities related to the Cloud part of the program.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Manage implementation of telco cloud including Infrastructure, Hypervisor, VIM, CISM, VNFMs, CNFMs, NFVO, DC SDN, WAN solutions, load balancers, firewalls, along with various management and automation tools.
- Lead implementation of cloud infrastructure projects
- Lead the deployment of Management and Orchestration (MANO) components, aligning with common Virtual Network Function Managers (VNFMs) and Network Functions Virtualization Orchestrator (NFVO) standards.
- Oversee the end-to-end horizontal and vertical integration of VNFs /CNFs and ensure smooth handover to Infrastructure Operations.
- Manage the consultant services, control quality and quantity of work performed, guide the team, and carry the overall responsibility for the task fulfilment and the Consultant's activities.
- Set objectives and priorities for the execution of Cloud rollout in line with the project scope and Client's requirements.
- Ensure a detailed Project Plan for Cloud rollout and necessary and satisfactory project procedures are established to direct all project work in-order to maintain timely execution and quality of work.
- Monitor project progress and proactively track bottlenecks and related issues to ensure that project schedules and key milestones are satisfactorily met.
- Ensure all Cloud related dependencies are cleared in line with the overall plan.
- Monitor Cloud rollout delivery, optimization and clear acceptance issues across corporate sectors and all portfolios level (for network and consumers)
- Highlight risks to program delivery plans and provide solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Coordinate project activities across all stakeholders with all involved departments and sections departments to ensure well-ordered, end-to-end execution of all project tasks.
- Supervise the completed work results and compare with provided guidelines and project plans.
- Ensure that results are compiled, documented and forwarded to Client in required format, quantity and quality, and ensure timely and correct presentation and explanation of results.
- Establish mechanism to track, review and clarify problem issues raised in the project, and to identify actions needed to resolve project blocking issues.
- Hold regular project progress review and coordination meetings with key project team members, with Vendors, Contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular reviews of changing project requirements, organization and resource needs, and provide recommendations for changes accordingly.
- Define and insure the Responsibility Matrix is followed by all stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Telecommunication.
- Minimum 5 years telecommunication industry.
- Valid Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP / Prince 2), with extensive knowledge of PM methodologies and professional experience in program/projects management and delivery
- Essential skills : Team work, Communication skills, knowledge transfer capability, Cross-functional communications skills and Team building experience
- Good knowledge of executive management reporting, presentations and dashboards concepts with good analytical skills.
- High level presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal English communications skills, Arabic would be an added advantage.
