Role Description

As a multi-Cloud Solutions Architect (CSA), Aggregator Specialist, you will be responsible for initiatives that may include activities such as running strategy & discovery workshop, engaging in Aggregator and partner facing solution architecture workshops, working with product, and engineering teams as well as interfacing with bid solution team. This team works with product specialists, product managers, cloud provider partners, and other stakeholders in the design and validation of offerings and alignment for a partner's cloud architecture.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect (CSA) you should have excellent listening and discovery skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to solve complex problems, be a big picture thinker and be able to visualize and articulate the proposed solution. A mix of technical skills, business insight, and a passion to lead and support the Aggregators is required. You will take the role of a lead technologist and should have a deep understanding of technology, industry architectures, and vertical market use cases. You will have domain level understanding of cloud infrastructures including compute, network, and storage as well as cloud management areas such as automation, operations management, orchestration, and development.

Successful proven track records of hand-on working on designing multi cloud customer landscape and working with Bid team to help in Bid proposal.

Responsibilities:

Customer focus:

- Prepares and supports the solution proposal presentation related to services, architecture and technology aspects

- Supports contract negotiations especially around all technical parts (incl. cost impact) of own area of expertise

- Analyzes customer business needs for own area of expertise and maps it to Atos portfolio

Solution focus:

- Designs end-to-end solutions in close cooperation with technical contacts, based as much as possible on standard portfolio (service catalogue)

- Participates in the collection of Customer Specific Data in order to validate the solution accuracy, costing and assumptions

- Leads successful integral solutions and takes ownership of issue resolution

- Deep knowledge of methodologies to develop and manage requirements

- Creates and maintains and uses solution cost model based on Global & Regional Standard Cost Models [temporary until escalation resolution with System Architects]. Designs and validates business cases on associated costing to the designed solution and migration.

- Coordinates the input from all candidate deliveries/3rd parties and performs the deal specific vendor management

Bid operations:

- Gets the required solution design approvals from business and delivery according to the existing processes and gets buy-in of business responsible

- Supports Solution Manager in all Solution related-activities (Rainbow preparation, customer contacts, risk analysis, hand-over to delivery, etc.)

The technology skills necessary for a multi cloud architect include the following:

Ability to understand Customer Cloud Landscape architect and propose the multi-Cloud landscape solutioning for the customer.

Governance. Cloud architects should be able to handle benefits and risks when implementing key management points in cloud operations and set boundaries with competing organizational interests.

Virtualization. Architects should be able to understand how to provision virtual machines efficiently and integrate them with cloud technologies.

Security. They should be able to design infrastructure with enterprise data security and identity and access management in mind. This will ensure that only authorized people or code can access applications.

Operating system (OS) knowledge. Architects must understand the spectrum of OSes that exist in the complex enterprise cloud ecosystem. Examples include Windows, Solaris, Linux and Ubuntu.

Networking. Cloud architects should understand domain name system, TCP/IP and HTTP. They should also understand the infrastructure of main cloud providers like Azure, Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.

Programming languages. Many cloud architects have a significant software development background which often includes languages like Java, Python or C#.

Finance. Architects should understand the costs of different services and implementations and be able to balance those costs.

Big data. They should understand big data architecture and design principles.

Advanced knowledge of VMware technologies and solutions such as vSphere, NSX-T, Cloud Director, Cloud Director Availability, vRealize Cloud Management and vSAN.

Application architecture. Cloud architects should be able to coordinate different applications together in the cloud environment.

Orchestration.

What qualifications and certifications does a cloud architect need

We are looking for multi cloud solution architect jobs require a bachelor's degree in an area such as computer science, engineering or mathematics.

10-12 + years of experience in technology related areas with a strong networking background

Have experience delivering one: one and one: many engagements and enablement activities in person and remote such as presentations, product demonstrations, and strategy discussions.

True hand-on experience in designing 10-12 customer landscape diagram and being part of technical solutioning while responding RFP and customer requirements, converting it into financial statement to support bid team.

Been part of at least 4-5 large proposal statement team for responding to large Cloud migration Projects involving Application refactoring and application migration to cloud both vendor-specific and vendor-neutral, may be necessary. Some of the following certifications may be useful in pursuing a cloud architect career.

VMware Certified Design Expert - Data Center Virtualization 2023

AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
