The Role

The Public Relations & Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations and social media strategies to enhance the brand image and visibility of RSGH properties in Saudi Arabia. This role involves creating compelling content, managing media relations, and engaging with the audience across various social media platforms to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Public Relations Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a strategic public relations plan to enhance the brand image and reputation of RSGH.
  • Craft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to promote hotel news, events, and initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with local, national, and international media to secure positive coverage

Media Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Coordinate / Organize and host media events, press conferences, and press trips to showcase the luxury resorts.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed
  • Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and story pitches to secure press coverage in high-profile lifestyle, travel, and luxury publications.

Social Media Management:

  • Create and manage content for all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, to engage with luxury travelers.
  • Develop innovative social media campaigns that align with brand messaging and broaden the online audience, driving both engagement and conversion
  • Monitor social media trends, conversations, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for engagement.

Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to produce high-quality visual and written content for both PR and social media purposes.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand's voice, style, and messaging.
  • Manage a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posting across all platforms
  • Monitor trends in luxury lifestyle, travel, and hospitality to inform content strategy and ensure relevance to target audiences

Influencer Partnerships:

  • Identify and establish relationships with key influencers and brand ambassadors to promote the luxury resorts.
  • Develop and manage influencer campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and target audience.

Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage any potential PR crises.
  • Serve as the spokesperson during crises, providing accurate and timely information to the media and public

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track media coverage, social media performance, and public sentiment to measure the effectiveness of PR and social media initiatives using various analytics tools.
  • Prepare reports and analysis on campaign results and provide actionable insights for future strategies.

Networking & Event Management:

  • Represent the resorts at industry events, trade shows, and media functions to network and foster relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Organize and promote special events, like launches, openings, and influencer gatherings, to create buzz and excitement around the resorts.

Brand Advocacy:

  • Promote the hotel group's values, mission, and brand story through all PR and social media efforts.
  • Engage with guests, clients, and stakeholders to foster a positive brand image and build loyalty.

Key Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in public relations, social media management, or marketing, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Proven track record of successful media placements and social media campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and strong storytelling abilities.
  • Experience using social media management and analytics tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of luxury travel trends and the competitive hospitality market.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market and cultural nuances is a plus
