Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Lathe machines for turning and machining operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and machining sketches.
- Select and install tools, inserts, holders, and work-holding fixtures.
- Load and adjust CNC programs, offsets, speeds, and feeds as per the job requirement.
- Perform precision machining on materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, aluminum, brass, etc.
- Ensure tight tolerances, surface finish requirements, and dimensional accuracy.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues with cutting tools or programs.
- Maintain machine cleanliness, perform basic preventive maintenance, and report faults.
- Record daily production logs and ensure components meet QC requirements.
- Follow workshop safety guidelines, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical Diploma / ITI in Machinist, Mechanical, or Precision Engineering.
- Minimum 35 years experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist.
- Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Haas / Mazak controllers (as applicable).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Experience in machining shafts, flanges, bushings, pins, couplings, and threaded components.
