We are now seeking a Commercial Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives, secure charter contracts, and expand our commercial footprint in the region.

Role Overview

The Commercial & Business Development Manager will drive business growth and revenue generation by securing short-term and long-term charter contracts for Al Folk Marine's fleet. This role requires strong commercial acumen, extensive networks within the offshore transport and marine logistics sector, and the ability to strategically align business development initiatives with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across vessel chartering and offshore logistics.
  • Achieve revenue targets through acquisition of short-term spot charters and long-term contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and commercial activity reports.

Commercial Management

  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract structuring to optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Prepare, review, and present proposals, tenders, and charter party agreements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate demand, pricing, competitor activity, and commercial risks.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, port authorities, and industry stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for key accounts and strategic partners.
  • Represent Al Folk Marine professionally in meetings, tenders, and industry forums.

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with operations, technical, and finance teams to ensure commercial commitments are operationally feasible.
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations, service delivery, and contractual obligations.

Strategic Contribution

  • Support senior management in shaping business development strategy, fleet utilization planning, and long-term growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 57 years of experience in marine charter sales, offshore logistics, or commercial roles within the marine/offshore industry (mandatory).
  • Strong network of contacts in offshore marine transport, vessel chartering, and marine logistics.
  • Proven track record in achieving commercial targets and securing short- and long-term contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of vessel operations, commercial contracts, and marine logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and operate in a results-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marine Studies, Engineering, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
