Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Director, based in Abour, Cairo, Egypt. The Commercial Director will be responsible for implementing and managing strategic business plans, leading and overseeing commercial operations.
He/she will be responsible for driving the company's commercial strategy, expanding market share, and achieving sustainable revenue growth. This role requires a strong understanding of the paints, coatings, and chemical manufacturing industry, with proven experience in managing commercial teams, key accounts, and distribution channels.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead the sales, and marketingteams to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities both domestic and export.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with major clients, distributors, and project contractors.
- Oversee pricing, tenders, and contract negotiations to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Analyse market trends, competitor performance, and customer insights to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to align product innovation with market needs.
- Ensure high standards of brand visibility, customer satisfaction, and after-sales support.
- Manage and develop high-performing commercial teams through coaching and performance management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (MBA preferred) or relevant field.
- Minimum 1015 years of commercial experience in the paints, coatings, or chemical manufacturing sectors.
- Proven record in leading sales operations and achieving business growth targets.
- Proven experience in Commercial Management, including handling budgets, contracts, and managing business operations effectively
- Strong knowledge of B2B & B2C sales, distribution networks, and industrial project markets.
- Experience in export markets (Middle East & Africa) is an advantage.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on commercial acumen and strong financial awareness.
- Strong Analytical Skills and expertise in Business Planning to support strategy development and decision-making processes
- Demonstrated skill in Team Management, with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams toward achieving business goals
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in using data analysis and reporting tools
- Ability to adapt to changing markets and develop innovative problem-solving strategies
- Experience in the commercial or business sector within the Egyptian market is highly valued
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
