How Will You Make An Impact

The main mission of the Commercial Director is to lead the commercial strategy of one of our Maisons in Saudi Arabia, leading our internal and external partnership network, manage sales forecasts and set mid and long-term sales strategies in line with Maison's ambition. The successful candidate will manage sales force to achieve sales and profit goals. They will lead the performance, profitability, growth and optimization of the network in line with the Maison's and the market's strategy. The Commercial Director will also build on the Maison's local initiatives across Retail, Specialist Retail, Prestige, and e-Commerce.

Being part of the Maison's wider ecosystem, the Commercial Director will be responsible for the following:

Strategy and Business Development

  • Build the commercial part of the market's strategic 3-year-plan
  • Contribute to the Network Development strategy to leverage relevant business opportunities across the market (Real Estate, Boutique projects).
  • Contribute to the branding plan by developing ideas for communications and PR to elevate brand perception amongst existing and new potential clients, while creating a consistent brand message across all channels.
  • Define and implement the local high-end strategy integrating Prestige community development, relevant high-end stock representation, VIP client development and branding initiatives in cooperation with Marketing, Communication and Client teams.
  • Act as a local expert by developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, surrounding community and important events, trends, etc.

Commercial Performance

  • Set realistic and ambitious sales targets.
  • Analyze market KPIs and identify priority actions to achieve targets and business growth.
  • Monitor the network's P&L (Boutiques profitability).

Network Development and Performance Management

  • In collaboration with Maison and Richemont, lead negotiations with current landlords and with future projects.
  • Lead the New Projects brief, obtain necessary validations and overview the design process for all new boutiques and point of sale.
  • Ensure that retail sales targets are achieved In line with the Maison's and the market's global strategy.
  • Set Boutique sales targets after consultation of other local departments.
  • Ensure the monitoring and follow up of the Boutiques Commercial Action Plans.
  • Manage watch specialists from researching performance metrics and ensuring market compliance.
  • Drive the Boutique & POS Operations Excellence through implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and tools and a strong compliance mindset.
  • Ensure that the Maison's standards in terms of client experience (Satisfaction Barometer) are respected and known throughout the network.

Client Strategy & Development

  • Contribute to the overall Client strategy by infusing client-centric mindset amongst all the Commercial teams with the priority objective of improving client satisfaction, loyalty & recruitment.
  • In coordination with the Client Department, ensure development of relevant Boutique clienteling initiatives, CRM capabilities and implementation of client portfolio management across entire network.
  • Be an ambassador of the Maison and the market during international and local events and with VIP clients.

External Retail Partnership

  • Lead the retailization of the watch POS network to elevate commercial performance and provide a consistent message with Retail.
  • Enhance retail partnerships through key account management.
  • Explore new business opportunities to accelerate the Maison growth and leadership in Market.

Talent Management & Development

  • Develop, retain, and attract a high-performing teams in office and Boutiques.
  • Share vision, strategy, and values of the Maison to engage and motivate all teams around them.
  • Actively participate in succession planning for all commercial teams.

What Are We Looking For

Minimum of 15+ years of commercial / client-facing experience in a multinational organization with a master's degree in business administration or equivalent

  • Fluent preferably in multiple languages with spoken and written English (additional language skills are a plus).
