The Role
To partner with MMI business streams in ensuring that sales and contributions are optimized and effectively managed. The post holder will provide strong commercial and financial advice on margin management, capital investment and other operational issues as well as ensuring that the senior management team is appropriately communicated with on actual and forecast performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Insightful analysis of actual performance versus budgets as well as working on operational efficiencies
- Evaluate and prepare business proposals/models for strategic business growth, supported by analysis of business environment, market research data, local regulations, commercial terms and financial returns
- Analysis and interpretation of trends requiring management's attention, preparing and presenting clear and informative financial and management reports to senior management
- Understand and analyze the month-end reporting process
- Be the main contact person for Finance Managers in other International operating companies
- Understand and comment on volume performance, revenue realized, profitability, FOC cost analysis & forecasting.
- Preparation of Board reporting and forecasting for the operational aspects of the business, including management of operations risks and opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8 to 10 years of financial, commercial and market experience in analytical roles in the Retail sector
- Experience in financial planning and analysis and commercial finance
- Experience in business performance evaluation
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting for multiple business units
- Good internal/external communicator being able to build strong relationships, influencing and presenting at a senior level
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Work experience in the UAE
