Commercial Manager – Tier 1 Infrastructure Contractor

Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAE

A leading Infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to head the commercial function on a major infrastructure programme. This is a senior appointment with full ownership of commercial delivery from procurement through to final account.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will lead the commercial team across all phases of the project, managing budgets, contracts, and the full lifecycle of cost and commercial control on high-value infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities:

∙ Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff

∙ Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts

∙ Oversee cost reporting, and monthly commercial reporting to senior management

∙ Administer FIDIC contracts and manage claims, entitlement, and risk

∙ Drive margin protection and commercial best practice across the project

Requirements:

∙ Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline

∙ Proven experience as a Commercial Manager with a Tier 1 contractor

∙ Strong working knowledge of FIDIC forms of contract

∙ Significant major infrastructure experience (roads, bridges, utilities, rail, or similar)

∙ Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
