Job Purpose:
The Commercial Manager is a pivotal role bridging Operations and Sales to drive revenue integrity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Director, the incumbent owns end-to-end commercial processes with laser focus on invoicing accuracy, cash collection, pricing strategy (rental & leasing), document governance, and central reservations. The role ensures every transaction is error-free, collectible, and profitable while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer experience in a high-volume, multi-channel environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Expert Pricing Generation Rental & Leasing
- Develop and maintain dynamic pricing models for short-term rental, long-term leasing, chauffeur-drive, and subscription products considering complex areas of vehicle utilization, forecasting of revenue and demand.
- Generate segment-specific prices (corporate, SME, retail, insurance, government) which consider full scope of service and competitive positioning of internal brands versus the market.
- Perform monthly competitor benchmarking and yield-management reviews to protect margin.
- Secure sign-off from Sales and Finance before rate deployment in the reservation system.
Invoicing & Revenue Assurance
- Manage system related invoicing processes, including late and amended charges on a daily basis.
- Oversee the full invoicing cycle (daily, weekly, monthly, corporate, retail, insurance replacements).
- Implement and monitor controls to achieve 99.5 % invoicing accuracy and zero tolerance for revenue leakage.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on discrepancies and enforce corrective actions with branch teams.
- Liaise with Finance for timely month-end closure and audit readiness.
Cash Collections & Credit Control
- Design and execute a 98.2 % same-month collection target for all Retail receivables.
- Manage credit limits, payment terms, and escalation matrices for corporate, government, and individual accounts.
- Coordinate with Legal on aged debts (>90 days) and bad-debt provisioning.
- Deploy digital payment gateways and POS reconciliation to minimize cash handling risks.
Document Control & Compliance
- Centralize and digitize all contractual documents (rental agreements, lease contracts, insurance waivers, traffic fine authorizations).
- Enforce 100 % e-signature adoption and compliant storage.
- Conduct monthly document audits across branches; resolve non-conformities within 48 hours.
- Maintain master templates in Arabic and English per UAE Federal Law.
Central Reservations & Channel Management
- Oversee the Central Reservation team web bookings and central booking processes for new reservations
- Achieve 2 % booking error rate and 95 % SLA for confirmation turnaround.
- Integrate pricing, availability, and promotions in real time across all channels (website, mobile app, GDS, OTAs).
- Produce daily/weekly dashboards on booking conversion, abandonment, and revenue per channel.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Operations to align fleet utilization with pricing and reservation forecasts.
- Support Sales in RFP responses, lease tenders, and contract negotiations with pricing simulations and T&C clarity.
- Lead commercial training programs for branch staff on invoicing, upselling, and documentation.
Reporting & Analytics
- Deliver weekly commercial KPIs (AR aging, collection %, invoice accuracy, pricing yield, reservation SLA etc).
- Build predictive analytics for demand forecasting and bad-debt exposure.
- Present monthly performance review to the Director.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field from a recognized university.
- Master's Degree or MBA preferred (focus on Revenue Management or Finance is a plus).
- Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA) highly desirable.
Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years in commercial, revenue management, or finance roles within car rental, leasing, hospitality, or mobility sectors.
- At least 4 years in a managerial capacity leading invoicing, pricing, and collections teams.
- Proven track record in the UAE/GCC market with exposure to RTA regulations, VAT compliance, and multilingual contracts.
- Hands-on experience with Car Rental and Leasing software and Oracle.
