Summary Description:
Protects the Contractor in relation to its Contract with the Employer and its
Subcontractors regarding the contractual and legal well-being, and ensure
that the risks to the Contractor are minimised.
Indicative Requirements:
Minimum of 15 years experience in broad-based commercial, engineering,
and project management.
Role and Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
a. Internal review and negotiation of all Subcontracts against a corporate
company checklist and commercial procedures.
b. Advice to company management on claims and contractual issues
including bonds, insurances, indemnities, and so on.
c. Negotiations with the Employers, Consultants, and Subcontractors on
contract terms and conditions and on all project-related issues of
contractual significance.
d. Ensure the terms of the Contract are followed and effect supplemental
agreements if required.
Qualifications:
a. BSc in Quantity Surveying.
b. Professional membership MRICS (Member of The Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors or equivalent Australian or South African
membership).
c. Working knowledge of BIM in the design and construction process.
