Role Description The Commercial & QS Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for managing commercial and quantity surveying activities across construction and fit-out projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents, and supporting contract negotiation and administration. The role involves monitoring project budgets, evaluating variations, coordinating with project teams and suppliers, and contributing to value engineering and cost optimization. The Commercial & QS Engineer will also assist in client presentations, provide technical support to the sales process, and ensure all commercial activities comply with company standards and contractual obligations. Collaboration with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams is essential to maintain project profitability and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills, with the ability to support commercial proposals and technical offerings.
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Capability in Training and knowledge sharing to support colleagues and promote best practices in commercial and QS processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, or cost control within construction or fit-out projects.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools, MS Excel, and relevant industry software; familiarity with contracts and tendering procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams.
