Summary:
As a Commis I, you will assist in the preparation and service of food items in one of our kitchens. You will work under the supervision of a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and served to customers.
Job Responsibility:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for menu items according to standard recipes
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team in various food preparation tasks
- Ensure all food products are stored, handled, and prepared safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient production of food orders
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects if needed
Basic understanding of food preparation techniques
