Commis Chef
I work as a Commis Chef in a professional kitchen, assisting senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring smooth kitchen operations and strict adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food preparation and mise en place under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Support Chef de Partie and Demi Chef in daily kitchen tasks.
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and portioning.
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
- Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP).
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating kitchen stock.
- Support smooth and efficient service during busy operations.
