Duties And Responsibilities
Organizes and leads the commissioning team
- Leads the review and approval of commissioning documentation (schedules, procedures, commissioning test programs, test acceptance certificates etc.)
- Maintains detailed and accurate commissioning records, including data, documentation, and progress reports
- Oversees NPP Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup activities performed by the EPC Contractor's commissioning staff. Ensures prudent and optimal creation and execution of a plan to complete all testing activities, including component level, system level, and integrated facility level testing (NPP, Units)
- Follows up on commissioning activities and prepares commissioning progress reports for the project management
- Leads the review of commissioning non-conformity reports and implementation of corrective measures
- Provides guidance in conjunction with the operations group on equipment start-up
- Supports the Licensing Department on issues related to applying for and obtaining Regulatory Licenses for commissioning and operation (including monitoring of the effective implementation of License conditions)
- Provides advice and assistance to the Owner's commissioning staff
- Provides training and coaching to the Owner's commissioning staff (as per request)
Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- Strong technical skills; 10+ years of PWR operation and commissioning experience. Participation in the commissioning of recent PWR new build projects (especially VVER-1200) at management level is a plus.
- Sound engineering and NPP operations background
Special Job Requirements
Ability to communicate, influence and persuade;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, understanding of Russian and/or Arabic is a plus;
- Ability to effectively lead a multicultural team.
