Commodity Trader - Gold & Silver

Position Overview

The Commodity Trader / Hedging Executive will play a pivotal role in our firm's gold trading operations. This position will involve trading gold commodities, participating in the gold fixing process, and implementing effective hedging strategies to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities:

Gold Trading:

Execute gold trades across various markets, including spot, forward, and futures.

Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities.

Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profits and minimize losses.

Monitor market fluctuations and adjust trading positions as needed.

Gold Hedging:

Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate the risk associated with gold price volatility.

Participate in the daily gold fixing process, ensuring fair and transparent pricing.

Utilize derivative instruments, such as options and futures, to hedge positions effectively.

Monitor and manage hedging portfolios to ensure optimal risk management.

Risk Management:

Assess and quantify market risk, liquidity risk, and credit risk.

Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.

Monitor and control risk exposures within acceptable limits.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity trading, with a focus on gold.

Strong understanding of Precious metal markets, including market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and risk factors.

Proficiency in using trading platforms and analytical tools.

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualification & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
