Job Description

This is a full-time Commodity Trader role based in Dubai. The Commodity Trader will manage daily trading activities in precious metals and related commodities, including monitoring market movements, executing trades, and optimizing positions in line with company strategy. Responsibilities include analyzing commodity markets, assessing price trends, and implementing hedging strategies to manage risk and protect margins. The role involves collaborating with sales and finance teams to align trading decisions with business objectives, maintaining strong relationships with counterparties, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. The Commodity Trader will also prepare regular reports on market developments, trading performance, and risk exposure for management review.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in Trading and Commodity Markets, with a solid understanding of precious metals and related financial instruments.
Knowledge of Finance and Hedging techniques to manage price risk, optimize returns, and support strategic decision-making.
Sales skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and counterparties, and support commercial growth.
Proficiency in market analysis, quantitative skills, and the use of trading platforms and financial data tools.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and sound decision-making under time pressure.
Effective communication skills in English; Arabic or additional languages are a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate across teams, and adhere to ethical and compliance standards.
