Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of the Communications Expert on a donor project:
The Expert shall support the Donor in implementing its Communication Strategy to help achieve its overall strategic communication objectives under the leadership of KE 1 – Team leader and with the support of Non-Key Experts.
- Enhance the quality of communication and visibility of the Donor in Egypt.
- Assist the Donor in communicating the results of development partnership projects in Egypt.
- Illustrate the impact of projects financed through Donor bilateral and regional support.
- Raise public awareness of the Donor-Egypt partnership by significantly increasing the number of Egyptians receiving information on Donor activities and on Donor development projects, programs, policies, and actions in Egypt.
- Improve knowledge and understanding of the Donor and its related partnership activities among decision-makers, opinion-makers, and specific segments of the general public in Egypt.
- Provide strategic guidance for the development of future communication strategies, ensuring alignment with post-2026 goals.
- Develop the project work plan in alignment with the Team Leader and non-key experts to guide the assignment, including the identification of key and sub-activities, resourcing, and challenges.
- Provide expert analysis of existing communication plans, identifying areas of strength, weaknesses, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Offer insights and recommendations to enhance program integration and coherence.
- Develop targeted strategies to engage and resonate effectively with younger demographics.
- Co-create strategic communication approaches for campaigns, ensuring synergy with overarching objectives.
- Oversee the creation of compelling visibility content tailored to diverse target audiences and communication platforms.
- Offer recommendations and guidance for adjustments to optimize alignment with strategic goals.
- Support project milestone reporting and client engagement throughout the project life cycle.
Requirements
- University degree, or equivalent, in at least one of the following fields: media, event management, communication, international relations, marketing, or advertising.
- In the absence of the required diploma, professional experience equivalent to 3 additional years beyond the general professional experience requirement is required.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in at least one of the following fields: media, event management, communication, marketing, or advertising.
- At least 5 years of experience as a communication expert (including direct management of communication campaigns and the organisation of large public events).
- At least 3 years of experience in the concept development and dissemination of various visibility & communication products and materials, including videos, visibility materials and including through social media.
- Experience in a communication project funded by an international donor is an asset.
- Experience in large scale project and team management
- Openness and adaptability to work in a multicultural environment and in a team.
- A comprehensive presentation of the portfolio, documenting the specific experience, should be submitted along with a CV and the cover letter.
