Job Description
Company Description
Baytii is building an extended-stay home and community for people in their first 3–24 months in Dubai, including founders, senior hires and relocating professionals. Most housing in this city gives newcomers a lease. We give them a soft landing: a home that's ready from day one, a community to belong to and a first network, in well-designed residences with coworking, wellness and event spaces close by.
We're launching our first residences now and are hiring the founding team that will build the model from the ground up.
Role Description
As our Founding Community & Events Manager, you'll build The Fold's community from its first event. You'll turn newcomers to Dubai into regulars, friends and members, and you'll report directly to the CEO.
This is a part-time role of around 20–25 hours a week, flexible during the day, with evenings and weekends for events.
You will:
- Produce our signature events end to end: concept, venue and partners, run-of-show, ticketing, hosting on the night and follow-up.
- Launch and run a weekly rhythm of smaller gatherings across four themes: belonging, building, moving and discovering the city.
- Welcome and onboard new members and residents, and make the introductions that turn strangers into a network.
- Grow our Founding membership by converting event guests into members.
- Build partnerships with Dubai venues, coworking spaces, gyms, studios and local brands.
- Run community channels and capture content and stories from every event.
- Track attendance, conversion, retention and member feedback, and share a short weekly update.
This is a 90-day contract with a path to a larger role and a Head of Community title for the right person. The package is a part-time base plus performance bonuses tied to members signed and events delivered.
Qualifications
- 2+ years building and running communities or events in Dubai, at a coworking space, co-living brand, founder network, social club, or hospitality venue.
- A track record of events people came back for.
- An existing network in Dubai's newcomer, founder or professional scene.
- Natural host: warm, confident in a room and great at connecting people.
- Organized and reliable with logistics, budgets and vendors.
- Comfortable with event and community tools (Luma, Eventbrite, WhatsApp communities, Instagram, Notion).
- Strong written and spoken English; Arabic or other languages are a plus.
- Available most evenings and some weekends for events.
- Bonus: you've moved to a new city yourself and know what the first months feel like.
