The compliance deputy is responsible for all aspects in relation to company (all Jones Engineering Group's subcontractors and suppliers) adherence to local legislation, Jones Engineering Group requirements and Client requirements in regard to worker welfare.

Responsibilities
Direct line of report to the compliance officer
Administration role
- Maintain accurate worker welfare data, statistics and confidential records for reporting, audits, and compliance purposes, ensuring secure storage and disposal of sensitive information in line with GDPR and relevant local data legislation.
- Communicate updates on JEG standards across procurement, contracts, project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors. Additionally, participate in and deliver training programs related to worker welfare and compliance as required.
- Monitor and review published updates in UAE laws relevant to worker welfare to ensure JEG compliance.
- Manage worker welfare compliance across the supply chain through prequalification assessments of all subcontractors, verifying compliance during worker mobilization, and performing regular audits to ensure ongoing adherence to worker welfare requirements.
- Identify compliance issues, coordinate corrective action plans, and work closely with subcontractors to resolve deficiencies and prevent recurrence.
- Serve as a confidential point of contact for worker grievances and resolve grievance according to procedure.
- Valid driving license

- Willingness to research, learn and understand labor law and all employment regulations.
- Adaptability to changing work routines as construction project progresses.
- Good negotiation and mediation skills.
- Discretion with confidential information.
- Sensitivity towards diverse cultural background of migrant workers and their level of literacy.
- Good teamwork with colleagues.
- Good report writing skills in English.
- Experience in a role which requires the handling and safe keeping of large volumes of sensitive data.
- Six months to 1 year experience with compliance (worker welfare/social compliance).
- Multilingual
- MS365 experience.
