Job Description

Job Purpose

As part of the Emirates Compliance Monitoring Audit team, this job is primarily responsible for the planning, preparation and conduct of audits.

The primary responsibility of this role is to act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Flight Operations departmental audits outside the flight deck. The role is responsible for leading operational monitoring activities and audit programmes to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements, regulatory standards, and company operating procedures, while promoting safe operating practices through effective compliance oversight, risk identification, and continuous performance monitoring.

Job Outline

  • Oversee the implementation of regulatory requirements for the compliance monitoring system relating to Operational support activities to establish compliance with CAR-OPS 1, CAR ORA and IOSA to ensure safe Operational practices.
  • Responsible for the implement of ongoing audit schedules to meet regulatory and company requirements to encompass areas of operational support, training and/or subcontractor activities.
  • Provide data and produce reports to supplement the various management reports produced by the Compliance monitoring department.
  • Liaise with the GCAA, foreign authorities and external operational audit activities to support operational activities.Provide expertise where required to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with the ongoing IOSA compliance for operational support areas and when required act as a focal point between departments to provide guidance and assist with the relationship management of key stakeholders.
  • Implement systems to ensure timely recording, analysis and reporting of audit related activities. Assist in Formulating and establishing best practices, developing audit methodologies and analytical methods to present results and findings.
  • Manage and develop a team of Auditors to meet the needs of the audit schedule. Plan training and development activities to ensure currency in accordance with regulations and requirements.
  • Provide ongoing contribution and development of IQSMS to meet operational requirements and liaise with vendor as required.
  • Represent the department in meetings during MCMs absence.

Qualification

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ yrs Flight Operations as a commercial airline pilot.
  • 1+ yrs Emirates Operational Department
  • 1+ yrs Operations Compliance Systems

Knowledge/skills

  • Thorough knowledge of ISO / CAR / IOSA requirements and Quality Management System requirements.
  • Formal aviation auditor training qualification.
  • Strong IT, MS office skills.
  • Risk Assessments.
  • Human Factors skills
  • Experience IOSA and IATA Quality Pool Auditor preferred.
