Role Description
The Compliance Officer (Business Development) is a client-facing role responsible for managing compliance requirements for external clients while also contributing to business growth through revenue generation activities. The role combines regulatory compliance responsibilities with client management, retention, and upselling/cross-selling of services. The incumbent will ensure adherence to AML/CFT, KYC, UBO, and other U.A.E regulatory requirements, while actively engaging with clients to deliver high-quality service and identify business opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Media City, Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Compliance Management
Manage end-to-end compliance requirements for external clients.
Ensure adherence to AML/CFT, KYC, and UBO regulations for DNFBPs.
Conduct client risk assessments, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
Handle GoAML registration, reporting, and compliance submissions.
Draft, implement, and maintain client compliance policies and procedures.
Support clients during regulatory inspections, audits, and sanctions screening.
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely compliance implementation.
Client Relationship & Business Development
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
Contribute to revenue generation through client engagement and retention.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service quality.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation, records, and compliance reports.
Prepare reports using MS Excel and Word for internal and client use.
Ensure timely follow-ups and closure of client compliance tasks.
Requirements
Minimum 1+ years of experience in compliance or regulatory roles (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC, and UBO frameworks.
Experience with GoAML registration, reporting, and risk assessments.
Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements, audits, and sanctions screening.
Strong client management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Revenue-oriented mindset with experience in client retention or business development is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and documentation tools.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field; AML/Compliance certification preferred.
