About the team

Bitget is a dynamic virtual asset service provider based in Dubai, committed to offering secure and innovative cryptocurrency trading solutions. As we pursue a VARA (Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority) license, we seek a proactive Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and foster trust in our platform.

About the role

The Compliance Officer will oversee Dubai compliance, focusing on VARA requirements, AML/CTF laws, and international standards. This role involves policy development, risk assessments, audits, and serving as the liaison with regulators.

What you'll do

• Assist in the VARA license application process and maintain ongoing compliance.
• Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct AML/CTF monitoring, including transaction reviews and suspicious activity reporting (SAR).
• Perform risk assessments and internal audits to identify gaps.
• Liaise with VARA and other regulators (e.g., DFSA, Central Bank of UAE).
• Train staff on compliance protocols and AML updates.
• Investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on Dubai's crypto regulations and global trends.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in compliance within financial services/crypto/fintech.
• Expertise in VARA regulations, UAE AML laws, and international standards (FATF).
• Certifications: CAMS, ICA Diploma in AML, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis).
• Knowledge of cross-border compliance challenges.
