Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science across key stages, in line with the British Curriculum (including GCSE and A-Level content, where applicable).
- Teach core concepts such as programming (e.g., Python, Java), algorithms, data structures, network fundamentals, and digital citizenship.
- Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect best practices and technological advancements.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Encourage student participation in coding clubs, robotics teams, and other computing-related extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology effectively across the curriculum.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
- Essential: Proven experience teaching Computer Science within the British Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of current programming languages and computational methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiasm for inspiring students to pursue STEM fields.
