ABIS is seeking a Computing and Cloud Architect for our SMP division, an essential role responsible for designing and implementing robust cloud infrastructures and computing solutions. In this position, you will leverage your expertise to develop strategic cloud architectures that align with business objectives and technical standards. You will evaluate current IT architectures, identify improvement opportunities, and lead the transition to cloud-based solutions while ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, as you will work closely with developers, operations, and project managers to implement architectural best practices and innovative solutions. As a Computing and Cloud Architect, your role will be vital in driving our cloud adoption strategy, advancing ABIS's technology landscape, and helping our clients realize the full potential of cloud computing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise communications architecture across data networks, transmission networks, and satellite communication
- Produce target reference designs, standards, roadmaps, and governed solution designs
- Design and implement scalable cloud architectures and computing solutions that meet organizational requirements
- Evaluate existing infrastructure and make recommendations for cloud migration strategies
- Develop and implement cloud governance policies, security protocols, and best practices
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure successful and secure application deployment in the cloud
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing to better inform architecture decisions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud architecture and best practices
- Document architecture designs, strategies, and processes for knowledge sharing and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in cloud architecture design, preferably with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of cloud services and architecture principles, including computing, storage, and networking
- Experience with cloud migration and relevant technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-based solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
