Job Summary:

The Conference Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing high-quality conferences from concept to completion. This role involves conducting in-depth market research, identifying relevant industry topics, sourcing and securing C-level speakers, and ensuring the overall quality and success of each event. The ideal candidate is highly organized, research-driven, and skilled in stakeholder communication and program management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned conferences across the full project lifecycle, from research and concept development to execution.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis using desk research and telephone outreach to identify trends, topics, and target audiences.
  • Identify, approach, and secure senior-level (C-suite) speakers and industry experts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with confirmed speakers to ensure commitment and participation.
  • Coordinate presentation reviews and content checks to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with event objectives.
  • Develop and refine conference agendas that reflect current industry challenges and insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, sales) to support event success.
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensure high standards of quality across all aspects of the conference experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Events Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in conference production, event management, or a similar role.
  • Strong research, analytical, and interviewing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Confidence engaging with senior-level executives and industry leaders.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in B2B Exhibitions & conferences.
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies.
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills.
