Job description:
- Site Supervision: Oversee daily activities on-site, including concreting, blockwork, and structural support tasks.
- Manpower Management: Lead and coordinate large, multi-disciplinary teams of skilled and unskilled workers (masons, carpenters, tilers) and subcontractors.
- Technical Implementation: Read and interpret complex architectural drawings, blueprints, and method statements to ensure accurate execution.
- Quality Control & Snagging: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets approved samples and QC standards. In high-rise projects, this includes managing the snagging and de-snagging process for finishing.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict UAE safety regulations and company HSE policies, including conducting daily toolbox talks and ensuring proper PPE usage.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare daily reports on work progress, labor productivity, and material consumption for Site Engineers or Project Managers.
- Resource Management: Monitor the use and maintenance of machinery, tools, and materials to minimize wastage and stay within budget.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Typically 5 to 8 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE/GCC specifically on high-rise residential or commercial projects. a Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a relevant trade certificate is highly preferred.
- Have Deep understanding of modern construction practices, including structural works (RCC/Steel), MEP coordination, and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in English is standard for reporting; knowledge of Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is often required to communicate effectively with the diverse labor force in Dubai. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
