CONSTRUCTION LAWYER - SENIOR - LEADING LAW FIRM - DOHA, QATAR

Our client is a leading and well-established law firm in Doha is seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to join its growing practice.

The successful candidate will have 8+ years post-qualification experience and a strong background in both construction transactions and construction-related disputes/litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to take on a senior role within a reputable regional practice and work on a broad range of complex construction matters.

The Role

You will advise a diverse client base on contentious and non-contentious construction matters, including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction and engineering contracts.
• Advising on major construction and infrastructure projects.
• Handling construction disputes, including litigation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution.
• Advising clients on contractual claims, extensions of time, delay, disruption, defects and payment issues.
• Managing complex construction disputes from inception through to resolution.
• Working closely with clients, contractors, developers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the construction practice.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years PQE as a qualified lawyer.
• Strong specialist experience in construction law.
• A demonstrable track record across both contentious and non-contentious construction work.
• Experience with construction litigation and/or arbitration.
• Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience advising on complex construction projects and contractual disputes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team.
• Experience in the GCC or wider Middle East region would be advantageous, although strong international construction lawyers are also encouraged to apply.
