Job Overview:
Leading and managing all on-site MEP construction activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. The role focuses only on construction execution and site leadership—covering installation supervision, coordination, manpower allocation, site progress management, quality control, and interface with consultants and clients.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day MEP site construction activities
- Ensure installation works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Plan and deploy manpower, tools, and materials required for each activity.
- Monitor daily progress and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, and Architectural teams to resolve site constraints.
- Interface with consultants, clients, and main contractors for inspections, approvals, and site progress meetings.
- Communicate construction requirements and constraints to engineering and planning teams.
- Implement weekly and monthly progress tracking against the approved schedule.
- Identify construction delays, constraints, and obstacles; propose recovery actions.
- Prepare site progress reports and submit updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure all MEP installations follow quality standards and company procedures.
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify discrepancies or non-conformance.
- Ensure adherence to approved materials, method statements, and inspection/test plans (ITPs).
- Enforce safety standards and ensure all activities comply with HSE policies.
- Participate in site safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure immediate corrective actions for unsafe practices or conditions.
- Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials at site.
- Identify resource shortages or constraints and escalate as necessary.
- Validate daily site productivity and highlight improvement areas.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and supervisors.
- Resolve installation conflicts, site clashes, and technical construction issues.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Department for shop drawings, RFIs, and technical queries.
- Perform any other -elated tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 9 years of experience in MEP project management within the construction industry with at least 3 years in a supervisory position
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, installation practices, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with shop drawings, coordination drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
- Excellent leadership, on-site decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
