Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Manager MEP to lead and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction activities at project sites. The role involves full responsibility for planning, coordination, execution, quality control, safety compliance, and timely delivery of MEP works in alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Management
Lead and manage all on-site MEP construction activities.
Ensure execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, ELV, and utility systems as per approved drawings and specifications.
Develop and monitor construction schedules in coordination with planning teams.
Ensure works are completed within approved budget and timelines.
Coordinate with civil, architectural, and structural teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP services.
Technical Oversight
Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards such as ASHRAE, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Oversee testing & commissioning of all MEP systems.
Resolve technical issues and coordinate design clarifications with consultants.
Quality & Safety
Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and project quality standards.
Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and progress review meetings.
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Review subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management.
Resource & Cost Control
Manage manpower, materials, and equipment allocation.
Monitor procurement schedules and material deliveries.
Control cost variations and support commercial claims management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
14- 16 years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems integration and construction methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
