Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Emirati Construction Manager to lead, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of local regulations and cultural nuances, and a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage construction projects, ensuring compliance with UAE laws, safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project deadlines and financial targets.
- Supervise construction site activities and monitor progress against project plans.
- Ensure adherence to quality control, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with government authorities and local stakeholders to facilitate permits, inspections, and approvals.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management and clients.
- Mentor and develop Emirati staff as part of the company's Emiratization strategy.
- Promote and uphold company values, ensuring respect for cultural sensitivities and diversity.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in construction management within the UAE or GCC region.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations, health & safety standards, and labor laws.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and local authorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
Preferred
- PMP or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience in government or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of sustainability and green building practices.
