Construction Manager Gulf Hills Contracting LLC (UAE)

Location: United Arab Emirates (RAK or Hatta)

Availability: Within 1 Month (Maximum)

As part of our ongoing expansion and portfolio growth, Gulf Hills Contracting LLC is seeking an accomplished and highly professional Construction Manager to lead and oversee the execution of major construction projects across the UAE.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, supervision, and control of all on-site construction activities to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual specifications, design drawings, and quality standards.

The successful candidate must possess strong leadership skills, extensive site-management experience, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to drive productivity, resolve challenges proactively, and maintain professional communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Key responsibilities include managing site teams, coordinating engineering and procurement interfaces, monitoring progress, implementing QA/QC procedures, enforcing health and safety compliance, overseeing subcontractors, mitigating delays, and ensuring that all operations comply with contractual and statutory requirements.

This role carries significant responsibility and requires an individual who demonstrates maturity, technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams under demanding construction conditions.

QUALIFICATION

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Construction Management are an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of proven UAE experience, with reputable main contracting companies, in large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 7years of experience in a managerial or senior site leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering fast-track, high-rise, residential, or mixed-use developments is preferred.

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

Construction Management Expertise

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site workflows.
  • Ability to manage and supervise all civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.
  • Strong command of reading IFC drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Skilled in resource allocation, manpower planning, logistics planning, and productivity management.
  • Ability to identify design discrepancies, raise RFIs, and coordinate with the engineering team for resolutions.

Contractual & Commercial Awareness

  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract principles or equivalent UAE contract frameworks.
  • Ability to support claims, variation assessments, and documentation of delays or disruptions.
  • Awareness of procurement cycles, material approvals, inspections, and subcontract negotiations.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Strong leadership in implementing QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and method statements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UAE HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to enforce safety compliance and conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments.

Reporting & Management Skills

  • Preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and site productivity assessments.
  • Strong coordination with Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial Departments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.

Software Competencies

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Aconex or similar systems.
  • Ability to interpret and coordinate with Primavera schedules (P6) prepared by the planning team.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in English written and verbal communication.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting strict project deadlines.
  • Readiness to travel to other Emirates or relocate as required.
  • Must be able to join within one month.
