Construction Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the site execution of pharmaceutical and industrial construction projects. The role will manage construction planning, site operations, subcontractors, authority coordination, safety, quality, and project progress to ensure successful delivery.

Job Scope

• Manage the overall construction, installation, and day-to-day operations of the assigned project site.

• Develop detailed site execution plans, construction schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.

• Monitor project progress and implement recovery measures where activities fall behind schedule.

• Establish and enforce site safety procedures, control measures, and regulatory requirements.

• Organise site coordination meetings and prepare progress, quality, safety, and weekly status reports.

• Plan and coordinate authority submissions, permits, inspections, building-plan approvals, TOP, and other statutory requirements.

• Coordinate with Professional Engineers, REs, RTOs, Registered Inspectors, consultants, and relevant authorities.

• Manage subcontractors, including work planning, performance monitoring, quality control, and schedule coordination.

• Liaise with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve construction and technical issues.

• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, pharmaceutical quality requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant construction-management experience in industrial building, pharmaceutical, or similar projects.

• Proven experience managing site operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and authority coordination.

• Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, authority approvals, inspections, TOP processes, and relevant industry standards.

• Experience coordinating with REs, RTOs, Professional Engineers, Registered Inspectors, and statutory authorities.

• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder-management, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to manage construction teams and project activities independently.

• Proficient in construction planning, reporting, and relevant project-management tools.

• Willing to work additional hours or weekends when reasonably required by project activities and site progress.
