The project:

Mace has been appointed to partner on a new portfolio in the Kingdom focused on the events industry. The programme will deliver cutting-edge venues designed to host world-class cultural, entertainment, tourism, and sporting events. The portfolio includes the development of indoor arenas, art galleries, theaters, and conference centers, as well as major outdoor venues.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading daily site management and supervising all construction activities to ensure work is executed safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.

  • Managing contractors, subcontractors, and workforce activities and ensuring clear coordination across interfaces and work fronts.

  • Planning and sequencing construction activities with a strong focus on logistics, access, temporary works, and operational safety.

  • Ensuring the specialised nature of the project is executed in line with design requirements and international best practice.

  • Conducting daily site inspections, reviewing progress, identifying issues early, and driving corrective actions.

  • Working closely with design management, HSE, quality, commercial, and project controls teams to maintain alignment throughout delivery.

  • Managing site documentation including method statements, permits to work, ITPs, NCRs, progress reports, and construction records.

  • Reviewing contractor schedules, monitoring progress against baseline, and supporting recovery planning where required.

  • Coordinating stakeholder access, approvals, and technical clarifications in collaboration with the broader project team.

  • Ensuring rigorous compliance with Mace processes, statutory requirements, and project-level safety protocols.

  • Supporting testing, commissioning, and handover stages to ensure a fully functional and compliant facility.

You'll need to have:

  • A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering large, complex construction projects. Experience in KSA or the wider GCC region is beneficial.

  • Strong site-based experience with a solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and best practices.

  • Proven ability to manage contractors, drive performance, and maintain strong site controls.

  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation and quality management processes.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools familiarity with Primavera P6 is an advantage.
