Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing construction activities, ensuring quality and compliance while driving project success. This position offers the opportunity to lead a skilled workforce in delivering outstanding results on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all construction activities, enhancing performance and procedural efficiency while providing recommendations for improvements to project managers. Manage and supervise contractors, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, codes, standards, schedules, and budgeting. Collaborate with engineering teams to support construction efforts effectively. Assist in the establishment and application of corporate construction policies that facilitate project execution. Ensure efficient management of project activities to guarantee timely deliveries and minimize waste. Lead a team of engineers and ensure proper coordination with various departments regarding project-related challenges. Liaise with regulatory bodies, consultants, clients, and suppliers, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Provide management with timely project updates and participate in project execution meetings. Cultivate and guide a diverse workforce, aligning team efforts with organizational objectives while complying with regulatory standards. Ensure quality assurance and compliance with ISO standards for all construction activities, consistently meeting client specifications. Allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity. Undertake additional duties as necessary to support construction operations.

Requirements

  • A master's degree or equivalent qualification in engineering from a recognized institution. Minimum of 7 years of construction experience, particularly in jetty, pier, or wharf construction. Demonstrated success in managing projects, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate. Well-versed in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD. Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
