The Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Site Construction Director to lead construction projects from planning and pre-construction through execution, commissioning, handover, and closeout. The ideal candidate combines strong construction knowledge with effective leadership, project controls, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead construction projects across planning, mobilization, execution, commissioning, and handover.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction progress against approved schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Review drawings, technical documentation, method statements, project plans, and construction requirements.
  • Manage project risks, issues, variations, dependencies, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee site coordination and ensure construction activities are properly planned and sequenced.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement, material planning, equipment requirements, and site resources.
  • Track project costs, commitments, variations, forecasts, and overall commercial performance.
  • Ensure appropriate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals, commissioning, and final handover activities.
  • Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, meeting documentation, and management updates.
  • Communicate project status, risks, milestones, and key decisions to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, construction methods, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
  • Support lessons-learned initiatives and continuous improvement across construction operations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience in construction project management, site management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, site coordination, and contractor management.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, quality management, and risk management.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and contractual documentation.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with construction-management software, project-planning tools, spreadsheets, and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage competing project priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with distributed project teams.
  • Professional certifications are not required unless specifically relevant to the role.
