Construction Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily site operations and ensure construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedules. The successful candidate will coordinate subcontractors, supervise site teams, monitor progress, and support the timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Direct and monitor subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.
- Ensure timely material requisitions and availability of resources to support project schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
- Enforce HSE regulations and company safety policies to minimize incidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Investigate and report site incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Supervise excavation, dewatering, shoring, and foundation works, ensuring compliance with approved methods and safety requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee construction activities including concrete works, masonry, carpentry, brickwork, backfilling, pipe laying, chamber construction, and shuttering.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Carry out progressive punch listing and ensure timely completion of outstanding works prior to project handover.
- Monitor workforce attendance, productivity, and performance.
- Conduct toolbox talks and daily pre-start meetings to promote safety awareness and effective communication.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives and contribute to incident reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of construction equipment and site resources.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline Civil or Arch
- Minimum 8 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a Construction Supervisor or similar site supervision role.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
- Proven experience supervising large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, material specifications, and construction equipment.
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations, QA/QC procedures, and risk management.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Proficiency in project planning, cost control, and construction site management.
- Experience using ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
