Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgeon to perform advanced surgical procedures on the heart and major vessels. The role involves managing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac surgical procedures such as:
  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Valve repair/replacement
  • Congenital heart defect surgeries
  • Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical treatment plans
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and follow-up
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and ICU teams
  • Lead and supervise surgical teams in operating rooms
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Participate in emergency/on-call cardiac surgeries
  • Contribute to clinical audits, research, and teaching activities
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Saudi healthcare regulations

Qualifications & Requirements (KSA Standard)

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree
  • Board Certification in Cardiothoracic / Cardiac Surgery(Saudi Board / US Board / UK CCT / FRCS / European Board preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5+ years post-specialty experience in cardiac surgery
  • Valid medical license (or eligibility for SCFHS licensing)
  • Fellowship training in cardiac surgery preferred
  • Experience in minimally invasive/advanced cardiac techniques is an advantage
