About the Company
Stafmed is currently recruiting an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a rewarding full-time opportunity with a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled and forward-thinking psychiatrist with strong expertise in assessing and treating complex mental health conditions affecting children and adolescents.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative multidisciplinary service committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based and family-centred mental healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents
- Treat mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, autism-related conditions, psychosis and behavioural disorders
- Manage complex, high-risk and safeguarding cases
- Develop comprehensive and individualised treatment plans
- Provide pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with psychologists, paediatricians, social workers, therapists and educational teams
- Support families through clear communication and structured care planning
- Participate in clinical governance, teaching and service development
Qualifications
- Board certification in Psychiatry with subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Recognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience
- Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH or MOHAP

- Strong risk-assessment and safeguarding expertise
- Experience managing complex neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions
- Excellent family communication and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Strong clinical leadership, empathy and decision-making skills
