Role Description The Consultant Gynecology role is a full-time, on-site position based at Phoenix Hospital in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The consultant will provide comprehensive gynecological care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and surgical procedures, in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and hospital protocols. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions, performing and overseeing procedures, managing high-risk and routine cases, and ensuring continuity of care for patients. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior medical staff, participating in clinical audits, and contributing to departmental quality improvement initiatives. The consultant is also expected to support patient education, uphold high standards of safety and ethics, and engage in continuing medical education and clinical research activities when required.

Qualifications

• Relevant medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialized training and board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid license or eligibility for licensure to practice as a Consultant Gynecologist in the United Arab Emirates.
• Strong clinical skills in gynecological diagnostics, medical management, and surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques where applicable.
• Proven experience managing a broad spectrum of gynecological conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and colleagues.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, quality improvement, and adherence to international clinical guidelines.
• Experience or interest in teaching, mentoring, and contributing to continuing medical education and clinical research.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records and using hospital information systems; familiarity with electronic health records is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills commonly used in the UAE are an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to evolving healthcare standards and technologies.
