Job Description

Position Overview

A leading tertiarycare hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an accomplished Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist to join its Neurosciences and Radiology Institute. The successful candidate will deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic neurointerventional procedures for both adult and pediatric patients, while contributing to service expansion, multidisciplinary excellence, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the full spectrum of neurointerventional procedures, including:
  • Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
  • Aneurysm coiling and flowdiversion
  • AVM/AVF embolization
  • Tumor embolization
  • Carotid and intracranial stenting
  • Spinal vascular interventions
  • Interpret advanced neuroimaging studies (CT, MRI, CTA, MRA, DSA)
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for complex neurovascular conditions
  • Participate in 24/7 stroke and neurointerventional oncall coverage
  • Collaborate closely with neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, and emergency medicine teams
  • Contribute to strategic development of the neurointerventional service
  • Develop and update clinical pathways, protocols, and qualityimprovement initiatives
  • Participate in multidisciplinary stroke and neurovascular boards
  • Mentor junior radiologists, fellows, and technologists

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution
  • Board Certification in Radiology (American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent)
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology / Endovascular Neurosurgery
  • Minimum 8–10 years of postspecialization experience, including consultantlevel practice
  • Eligibility for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH/HAAD) Consultant licensure
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced neurointerventional and stroke procedures
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
