Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Consultant Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon with a focus on Liver Transplantation to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing advanced surgical care for liver transplant patients, performing complex transplant procedures, managing pre- and post-operative care, and contributing to the development of a high-quality transplant program through clinical excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform living and deceased donor liver transplant surgeries.
- Participate in kidney, pancreas, and other abdominal organ transplant procedures as required.
- Manage complex hepatobiliary (HPB) surgical cases.
- Conduct pre- and post-transplant patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary transplant teams.
- Participate in organ procurement, on-call services, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to teaching, research, and program development.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
- Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency.
- Fellowship training in Abdominal Organ Transplant Surgery and/or Hepatobiliary (HPB) Surgery.
- Board Certification in General Surgery.
- Fellowship or Board Certification in Transplant Surgery is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5–10 years of post-fellowship consultant-level experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in liver transplantation.
- Experience performing living donor and deceased donor liver transplants.
- Experience in kidney, pancreas, or multi-organ transplantation is preferred.
- Proven experience in complex HPB surgery.
