Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

Provide high-quality patient care in all aspects of Nephrology according to his/her approved clinical privileges.

Provide consultation (inpatient, outpatient, and home patient) upon request and respond in a timely manner within the prescribed timeframe as outlined in U.S. Renal Care policy.

Ensure timely completion, competencies, accuracy, and eligibility of the medical record.

Provide on-call service and ensure availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with U.S. Renal Care Policy.

Conduct daily rounds to identify patients ready for dialysis and ensure dialysis orders are written prior to dialysis.

Perform any other clinical responsibilities related to Nephrology as assigned.

Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to Specialist Physician Nephrology and Resident Nephrologists as assigned.

Engage in clinical, educational activities, and training programs while actively participating in national and international medical conferences.

Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.

Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with the Research Advisory Council Policy in order to advance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education, and contribute to the national and international recognition of the U.S. Renal Care Company.

Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.

Participate in all mandatory clinical activities and serve on committees and other administrative functions, as required.

Assist the clinical team in developing and implementing techniques and practices that maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and throughout the U.S. Renal Care Company.

Abide by the current clinical and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, and keep updated on any changes that might occur.

Follow all clinical-related policies and procedures.

Participate in self-and others education, training, and development as applicable.

Education Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of the required training period in specialty and/or subspecialty.

Arab or American Board certification, membership, and/or fellowship status in the United Kingdom

and/or Canada or their equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

Seven (7) years postgraduate training experience in the subspecialty.

Other Requirements:

Certificate of Specialization in Nephrology and classified by the Saudi Commission for Health

Specialties as a Consultant Nephrology.
