We are seeking an experienced
Consultant Pediatric Interventional Radiologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide specialized image-guided diagnostic and minimally invasive interventional procedures for
neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients, working closely with multidisciplinary pediatric teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret pediatric diagnostic and interventional imaging.
- Provide image-guided minimally invasive procedures tailored to pediatric patients.
- Perform vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures using ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and other appropriate imaging modalities.
- Manage pediatric vascular access, drainage procedures, biopsies, and other image-guided interventions.
- Participate in the management of vascular malformations and complex pediatric conditions.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure assessment and follow-up.
- Work closely with pediatric surgeons, neonatologists, oncologists, anesthetists, intensivists, and other specialists.
- Ensure appropriate use of radiation protection and pediatric-specific imaging protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and pediatric case conferences.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and research.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow evidence-based standards of care.
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Radiology.
- Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Pediatric Interventional Radiology is highly desirable.
- Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain one.
- Significant experience in pediatric radiology and interventional procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex pediatric cases in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
