A leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is expanding its Pediatrics Department and is seeking a qualified Consultant Pediatrician to join its multidisciplinary clinical team.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality pediatric care within a modern, well-equipped hospital serving a diverse international patient population. The position combines outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, supported by advanced diagnostics, specialist services, and internationally recognized clinical protocols.
Role Overview
- Setting: Multispecialty hospital (Pediatrics Department)
- Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post board certification / specialist qualification
- Practice Model: Outpatient and inpatient pediatric care
- Support: Access to neonatal care and pediatric subspecialists
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Conduct routine examinations, growth monitoring, and developmental assessments
- Manage common childhood illnesses (respiratory, gastrointestinal, infectious diseases, allergies)
- Deliver preventive care, including vaccinations and parental education
- Handle pediatric emergencies and urgent medical cases
- Monitor nutrition, growth, and developmental milestones
- Advise on child health, behavior, and developmental concerns
- Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams for advanced care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with UAE regulations
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to evidence-based practices and patient safety standards
Eligibility & Qualifications
Applicants should hold one of the following (or equivalent recognized qualifications):
- American Board of Pediatrics
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Arab Board of Pediatrics
Candidates must be eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing (support provided).
