Provides specialised sports medicine care within the ICC physical clinic on a part-time, in-person basis, addressing a broad range of musculoskeletal and exercise-related conditions. Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages acute and chronic sports-related injuries, including patients with muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries, joint pain, overuse injuries, and those requiring concussion assessment or return-to-play evaluation. Delivers evidence-based, patient-centered care during scheduled part-time in-clinic sessions, ensuring continuity of care, appropriate diagnostic work-up, and injury management for patients seen. Coordinates closely with the full-time clinical and administrative teams to maintain continuity of care between sessions, applying population health and value-based care principles to improve clinical outcomes, optimise healthcare resources, and deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality sports medicine care, within the defined scope.

Patient Consultations and Management
- Deliver comprehensive, in-person sports medicine care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions at the ICC physical clinic, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, including history taking, physical and functional examination, and review of relevant imaging findings during each in-clinic visit.
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based management plans, including non-operative management, rehabilitation and exercise prescription, and referrals for imaging, procedures, or specialist input when indicated.
- Manage common sports medicine conditions, including muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries, joint pain, overuse injuries, and concussion, ensuring continuity and coordination of care with the full-time clinical team between sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physiotherapy and orthopaedics, to deliver integrated, patient-centred care within the scope .
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR to support seamless handover and continuity of care.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing clear guidance on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation for all in-clinic encounters.
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based sports medicine practice and in-clinic regulations through continuous professional development.
Professional Development
- Maintain and continuously enhance clinical knowledge in sports medicine and in-person best practices
- Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) activities to remain current with evidence-based practices in sports medicine.
Clinical Documentation and EHR Proficiency
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in compliance with organisational policies and applicable data privacy regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the clinic's EHR system to ensure efficient, high-quality, and well-documented in-person consultations.
Patient Safety and Satisfaction
- Uphold the highest standards of patient safety by delivering safe, evidence-based care and adhering to established clinical safety protocols during all in-person patient interactions.
- Identify, report, and escalate patient safety risks, incidents, and quality concerns in accordance with organisational policies.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, potential adverse effects, and follow-up care to support informed decision-making and medication safety.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred consultations through effective communication, comprehensive clinical assessment, empathy, and shared decision-making.
Collaboration with Healthcare Teams
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care and optimise clinical outcomes, ensuring continuity between part-time in-clinic sessions and full-time coverage.

Skills
- 2-3 years minimum in sports medicine clinical practice
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training in Family Medicine, from an accredited programme.
- Board certification in Family Medicine,
- Fellowship certification in Sports Medicine.
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Sports Medicine Consultant.
- Proven experience as a Sports Medicine Consultant or similar role, preferably in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR).
- Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively within limited part-time clinic hours, managing caseload and priorities efficiently within scheduled sessions.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with full-time colleagues to ensure continuity of care between sessions.
