Responsibilities

  • Perform surgical procedures related to thoracic conditions, including but not limited to lung resections, mediastinal surgery, and esophagectomy
  • Evaluate patient medical histories, diagnostic tests, and imaging results to determine appropriate treatment options
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pulmonologists, and nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patients during pre-operative and post-operative phases, addressing any complications as they arise
  • Educate patients and their families on thoracic conditions, treatment options, and recovery expectations
  • Maintain meticulous medical records for all patient interactions and surgical procedures
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in thoracic surgery and related medical practices

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in Thoracic Surgery
  • Board certification in Thoracic Surgery
  • Current medical license to practice in the Gulf region
  • Extensive experience in performing thoracic surgical procedures in an academic or clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of thoracic anatomy, surgical techniques, and patient management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
