Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures related to thoracic conditions, including but not limited to lung resections, mediastinal surgery, and esophagectomy
- Evaluate patient medical histories, diagnostic tests, and imaging results to determine appropriate treatment options
- Collaborate with oncologists, pulmonologists, and nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patients during pre-operative and post-operative phases, addressing any complications as they arise
- Educate patients and their families on thoracic conditions, treatment options, and recovery expectations
- Maintain meticulous medical records for all patient interactions and surgical procedures
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in thoracic surgery and related medical practices
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in Thoracic Surgery
- Board certification in Thoracic Surgery
- Current medical license to practice in the Gulf region
- Extensive experience in performing thoracic surgical procedures in an academic or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of thoracic anatomy, surgical techniques, and patient management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
