Job Purpose:
To lead the strategic and commercial direction of assigned nutraceutical brands by developing and executing comprehensive marketing and trade strategies that drive brand growth, market penetration, customer activation, and overall profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement annual brand and commercial plans aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Define brand positioning, value proposition, target segments, and integrated communication strategy.
- Manage the full brand lifecycle, including launches, relaunches, range extensions, and discontinuations.
- Lead development of all promotional campaigns and marketing materials.
2. Commercial Ownership & Trade Enablement
- Translate brand strategies into commercial execution plans for chain pharmacy, retail, and ecommerce channels.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to design channel programs, incentives, pointof-sale strategies, and activation plans that drive sellin and sellout.
- Monitor channel performance, including distribution, visibility, pricing consistency, and promotion effectiveness.
- Support Key Account teams with brand decks, commercial arguments, and differentiated trade offerings.
- Review market dynamics and recommend pricing strategies, promotional calendars, and margin optimization opportunities.
- Align product supply forecasts with commercial demand to minimize OOS and maximize sales opportunities.
- Identify and propose new molecular opportunities to support business development and portfolio expansion.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Medical, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure seamless brand execution.
- Coordinate product training for sales teams, distributors and key partners, enabling more effective product advocacy.
- Ensure brand identity and messaging consistency across all consumer, pharmacy, digital, and medical touchpoints.
4. Market & Performance Analysis
- Conduct market research, customer insights, and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and evaluate new products opportunities.
- Track brand KPIs including sales, market share, distribution, pricing compliance, penetration, and ROI.
- Evaluate marketing and trade campaigns to optimize investment and tactical adjustments.
5. Budget & Compliance
- Develop and manage brand budgets efficiently, ensuring optimal return on investment.
- Monitor marketing and commercial spend to maximize profitability.
- Ensure all communications and activities comply with pharmaceutical/nutraceutical regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications (Educational Background & preferred work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Science, Marketing, or Business Administration
- MBA or Marketing diploma is an advantage
- Not less than 36 years of experience in OTC / Nutraceutical / Consumer Health is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as Brand Manager or Senior Product Manager
